Our Story

HOW IT STARTED?

Welcome to Export City, where tradition and innovation together shape each piece of our furniture. Our story is deeply rooted in family heritage, where furniture making has been our passion and dedication for over 20 years.

Our founder, Mirsad Turčinović, proudly inherited the art of upholstery from his father, who was a pioneer in the furniture industry. The fact that he exported from Bosnia and Herzegovina to America shows that Mirsad had someone to learn from. In the small town of Prnjavor, Mirsad and his wife Mediha founded our first factory, in 2004. Soon after, their son Amir, daughter Dina, and son-in-law Zijad joined, and our family shifted its focus to exporting upholstered chairs to the EU market. Within a year, they signed a contract with one of Europe’s leading furniture companies, a partnership that continues to this day.

Today, Export City remains 100% owned and led by the Turčinović family. With Dina and Amir at the helm, we continue the tradition of crafting top-quality furniture with relentless dedication, innovation, and quality. Our 20-year history attests to a legacy built on commitment, positioning us as a leader in the furniture manufacturing industry. At Export City, each piece of furniture carries the story of family tradition and expertise.

Our company now exports over 31 million euros annually, achieving new growth each year. From humble beginnings in the 2000s with only five employees, we have managed to employ, train, and perfect our production over the years. We are proud to work with the best European companies in the industry.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be leading chair manufacturer and other upholstered furniture in this part of Europe through our experience, quality and responsibility recognised by leading European brands.

Export City is a company that exclusively engages in strategic operations to ensure stability and long-term business relationships, both within our company and with our customers. We provide reliable deliveries and aim to be the primary supplier for our clients, working closely with existing customers to support their development. Export City does not have its own brand, we exclusively manufacture for our long-standing clients.

Specialized in Commission-Based Production

Our company prides itself on the ability to adapt to the specific needs of each client. We are ready for commission-based business, which means we can produce products in small batches, even just one or two pieces. With commission production, we also send accompanying declarations with the finished products, allowing the customer to easily match the upholstered furniture with other pieces of furniture or send it directly to the dealer/end customer’s address.

Additionally, our ERP system supports export to CSV files, SSCC codes, and a digital archive of all commissions, from the initial order to the final client.
